Paediatric Physiotherapy Services

Supporting movement, confidence, and independence for kids

We provide paediatric physiotherapy services designed to help children improve physical function, build confidence in movement, and achieve greater independence. Our programs encourage active participation and support developmental milestones for kids of all ages.

Gross and fine motor skill development

Gross motor skills include big movements like crawling, walking, running, and jumping that build strength, balance, and coordination. If your child is struggling with these skills, paediatric physiotherapy can help improve mobility and confidence through tailored exercises and play-based therapy.
Fine motor skills involve smaller actions such as grasping toys, drawing, and buttoning clothes. Our physiotherapists support children to develop these skills, making everyday tasks easier and promoting independence.

Sports Injury Management

We treat common injuries such as rolled ankles, knee pain, heel pain, and overuse injuries from running, jumping, and high-impact sports. Our physiotherapists assess what’s causing the problem and create tailored treatment plans to reduce pain, restore strength and flexibility, and prevent future injuries so your child can get back to soccer, netball, athletics, or playground play with confidence.

Strength, flexibility and posture development

Strength, flexibility, and posture are essential for everyday activities like sitting comfortably at school, climbing on playground equipment, riding a bike, and carrying a backpack. If your child struggles to sit upright for long periods, tires easily, or shows poor posture, paediatric physiotherapy can help. Through fun, targeted exercises and play-based strategies, we work to improve core strength, range of motion, and alignment so your child can move and sit with ease.

Our goal is to build confidence and support safe, active participation in everyday life.

Growth related pain management

Growth-related pain can make everyday activities like walking, running, and playing uncomfortable for some children. Conditions such as heel pain (Sever’s disease), knee pain (Osgood-Schlatter disease), hip pain, or back pain during growth phases can affect participation in sports, dancing, and school PE. Paediatric physiotherapists can assess what’s causing the pain and provide strategies to reduce discomfort, improve flexibility and strength, and keep kids moving confidently as they grow.

Scoliosis Physiotherapy BSPTS Rigo Concept (PSSE)

We use approaches like the BSPTS Rigo Concept, a PSSE method similar to Schroth, to teach 3D posture correction, strengthen core muscles, and improve symmetry. Our physiotherapists also work alongside bracing prescribed by orthopaedic specialists, helping your child maintain strength and flexibility during brace wear and transition phases.

Free scoliosis screening is available to check for signs such as uneven shoulders, hips, or clothing not sitting straight. Early assessment means we can guide you on the best next steps for your child’s care.

Walking and running gait analysis

Walking and running gait plays a big role in how children move, participate in sports, and avoid injuries. If your child walks or runs with an unusual pattern, trips often, or complains of pain, paediatric physiotherapy can help. Our physiotherapists assess gait to identify what’s going on and provide tailored strategies to improve movement, reduce discomfort, and support confident, efficient walking and running.

Aquatic Physiotherapy (Hydrotherapy)

Aquatic physiotherapy is similar to hydrotherapy and uses the warmth and buoyancy of water to make movement easier, safer, and more enjoyable. This gentle, play-based therapy improves strength, balance, and coordination while reducing pain and joint stress. It’s ideal for kids with developmental delays, neurological conditions, or musculoskeletal challenges. In a supportive, sensory-rich environment, paediatric aquatic physiotherapy boosts confidence, encourages social interaction, and turns physiotherapy into fun
