Kate Caldow - Founder | Managing Director
Country Children’s Physiotherapy was founded in 2016 when Kate set about providing experienced paediatric physiotherapy services to children and their families within Canberra and the surrounding regions. The need for access to paediatric physiotherapy has seen Kate assemble a highly skilled and dedicated team with a shared passion for providing children with the highest standard of paediatric physiotherapy services available.
Kate holds a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University and has over 20 years experience practicing in paediatrics within public hospitals, private practices, community health services and sporting settings both within Australia and the United Kingdom.
Kate has extensive experience in a wide variety of paediatric conditions and has a special interest in paediatric orthopaedics, serial casting and developmental delay. She is certified in the use of Prechtl's method for the qualitative assessment of general movements. In her spare time, Kate loves cake decorating, going for bike rides and chauffeuring her children to their various after school activities.
Patricia McKibbin - Clinical Director | APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist | BSPTS Level 1 Rigo Concept practitioner
Patricia is an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist and the Clinical Director at Country Children’s Physiotherapy. She works with kids of all ages, from young children with developmental delays to teen athletes recovering from injuries or dealing with growth-related pain. Patricia has a special interest in scoliosis management, offering screenings for children aged 8-14 and providing care through to young adulthood.
In addition to her physiotherapy work, Patricia is an elite trail runner. She understands the challenges young athletes face when recovering from injuries and uses her experience to help kids return to sport safely, build strength, and develop resilience. Patricia offers individual running assessments or a fun running group for kids of all abilities.
Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Newcastle University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Advanced Clinical Paediatric Physiotherapy from Monash University. She has also participated in additional training in scoliosis management at the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School.
She is passionate about providing evidence-based, compassionate care that helps children reach their full potential, whether in sports or in life.
Millie McClelland - APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist
Millie previously worked at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (The Canberra Hospital) providing paediatric and neonatal physiotherapy services. She then moved to Hong Kong where she continued to provide paediatric physiotherapy services before joining Country Children’s Physiotherapy on returning to Canberra.
Millie holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from the Australian National University, a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra, and a Master of Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice from Monash University.
Millie has completed training for Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment and Hammersmith Infant Neurological Exam (HINE). She holds a special interest in cerebral palsy and developmental delays.
Millie is a firm believer in early intervention therapy to ensure children are given the best opportunity to reach their full potential. She feels the best approach is to make physiotherapy fun and enjoyable for children as well as maintaining a close relationship with families and the child’s support network.
Harriet Thomas - Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist
Harriet worked as a physiotherapist at Canberra Hospital before following her passion for paediatrics and joining the team at Country Children’s Physiotherapy. Harriet holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra after studying musical theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
Harriet strives to provide evidence-based treatments in interactive and creative ways to support children in achieving their life goals, no matter how big or small. Harriet has a specific interest in hypermobility, genetic conditions and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her Hungarian Vizsla Ollie, travelling, and crocheting.
Alisha Koskinen - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Alisha holds a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra.
Alisha has experience working with children and adolescents in various settings including sporting environments, disability support services, and educational placements at the Westmead Children’s Hospital. Alisha has a special interest in sports injuries, growing pains and hand therapy.
In her spare time, Alisha enjoys going for walks with her energetic dog, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
Mackella Pye - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Mackella moved to Canberra from a small country town called Boorowa, she holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra.
Mackella has an interest in working with babies, especially those with torticollis and positional feet conditions.
She also has an interest in providing services to small country towns like her hometown Boorowa.
In her spare time, Mackella loves to be active through running, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
Katie Summers - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Originally from regional Australia, Katie grew up on a farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra and has a passion for working with children.
Her experience includes tutoring migrant and refugee children, as well as working as an Au Pair in Singapore, where she further developed her skills in engaging and supporting young people.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys going to the gym, riding her motorcycle, playing Oztag and video games or spending time with her dogs.
Geraldine Lim - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Geraldine is a Canberra local and holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra.
She enjoys working with children of all ages to improve mobility, strength and participation in the community. She has a particular interest in helping children return to sport after injury and growth-related discomforts.
Geraldine loves working with children, finding it rewarding to help them improve their self-confidence by making play fun and purposeful on the way to achieving their goals.
Geraldine was previously a dance teacher for over 5 years and has also worked with a few local sports teams in the community.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her little one in the sun, going to the gym, and hosting weekend BBQs with her friends and family.
Emily Nobbs - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Emily was originally from Orange, NSW, before she moved to Canberra to gain her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra. Moving to Canberra also allowed her to train at the Australian Institute of Sport as part of a high-performance swim program.
Coming from a background of goal-driven training, Emily uses that experience to help children achieve their own goals. Whether it be sporting goals or developmental goals. Emily has an interest in sporting injuries and working with little babies to help them meet their milestones.
Outside of work, Emily loves to keep active, whether it be in the gym, going for a run, or hanging out with friends.
Zac Bax - Paediatric Physiotherapist
Zac grew up on the beach in Port Macquarie before making the move to Canberra more than a decade ago. He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra.
After initially working as a carpenter, Zac’s desire to help people and love of children led him to paediatric physiotherapy. Now, instead of building cabinetry, he is focused on building relationships with his clients and making physiotherapy fun. Zac believes that when therapy is guided by your child's interest, it supports not only their initial development but also fosters a healthy, lifelong relationship with movement and exercise. His goal is to empower your child for all the fun ahead, as well as the challenges.
In his spare time, Zac loves to be outside exploring mountains, playing with his children and playing board games with his wife.
Mariel Baghdadi - Physiotherapy Assistant
Mariel is currently in her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra.
Mariel loves working with children and finds it incredibly rewarding to provide kids with a positive way to exercise using games, to help achieve their goals while having fun along the way. Mariel has also had lots of previous babysitting experience.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and enjoy cooking and playing basketball.
Bhuvan Sharma - Physiotherapy Assistant
Bhuvan is currently pursuing a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra while working as a Physiotherapy Assistant with Country Children’s Physiotherapy.
Bhuvan enjoys working with children, playing an active role in their rehabilitation to help them build confidence and independence in their daily lives. Previously, he volunteered with Special Olympics Bharat, where he worked closely to prepare children with special needs for sporting events, further strengthening his dedication to inclusive and evidence-based care.
In his spare time, Bhuvan loves going to the gym and playing cricket, embracing an active lifestyle that aligns with his personal and professional interests.
Anjelica Nikias - Physiotherapy Assistant
Anjelica is currently in her 4th year of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra. Prior to studying in Canberra, Anjelica completed a Diploma of Dance in Sydney.
Anjelica has several years of experience working with children as a dance teacher. She enjoys allowing children to express their creativity in a safe and positive environment.
In her spare time, Anjelica enjoys going for walks around the lake, dancing, and playing with her two dogs, Charlie and Junee.
Natasha Low - Physiotherapy Assistant
Natasha is currently in her 4th year of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra and is excited about the prospect of becoming a Paediatric or Neurological Physiotherapist.
Natasha loves working with children as it allows her to support their development and help them reach their full potential in a fun and supportive environment. She is also passionate about working with vulnerable populations and hopes to one day provide humanitarian physiotherapy support overseas.
In her free time, Natasha enjoys reading, baking, staying active, and exploring new activities.
Lauren Clancy - Business Manager
Lauren is a Chartered Accountant who was working with an international accounting firm for many years before taking a career break to care for her family.
Lauren has held many volunteer roles with the local community and absolutely loves living in Canberra.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys knitting, sewing, travelling and cooking.
Jasper Gippel - Administration
Jasper is Country Children’s Physiotherapy’s Receptionist and your first point of contact for our clinic.
He has a background in customer service and retail management and now enjoys bringing his people skills to the clinic.
Jasper is an avid lover of the outdoors and spends all of his free time rock climbing, camping, hiking and exploring the beautiful national parks around Canberra.
